Roni and I live(d) in Prince
George, British Columbia. We spent most of our 35+ married years
in this community. If you knew Roni, I hope that this web page
rekindles fond memories of her. If you didn't, I hope I can share with
you just how special she was.
I'd appreciate any stories or
favourite memories that you may wish to share.
If you, a friend, or a loved one
are
struggling with Cancer, I hope that this page can help you find a
little more courage or strength to cope, while leaving you with a smile
or chuckle to show that there is hope even in the gravest
of circumstances. Roni's long battle with Cancer began in 1980, and for
most of the years since she managed to lead a relatively normal family
life. Matters became more serious last summer, and as her circumstances evolved, we had to learn to make many
compromises. Roni was the most courageous person I will ever
know, and her strength and dignity will inspire me for the rest of my
days. She has given me happy memories enough to last a
lifetime. I will miss her forever.
I cannot thank enough, nor
praise enough, the kind, caring, competent and compassionate medical
professionals who helped Roni (and me) deal with her
disease. Our community is fortunate that such dedicated
people have taken up this calling, and are willing to give freely of
themselves to help those who need them, at any time, under any
circumstances. Then there are family and those special friends
who were in it with us "for the long haul". Thank you all...you
have truly made a horrible situation bearable.
